Golf Rankings

We were simply going to post a single line regarding the current golf rankings. But the following is so interesting we dedicated a more lengthy discussion. Official World Ranking is considered the standard reference point pursuant to golf rank discussions. Their current top ten rankings yield few surprises:


Over at GolfWeek, they post the Sagarin golf rankings. Now I barely passed calculus in college, but I don't know what kind of equations can yield these rankings:

Arron Oberholser as the forth ranked golfer in the world? Justin Rose as number two? The Tour Review holds many grudges against Phil, but even we believe he deserves better than eighth. These rankings simply make no sense. What gives, Mr. Sagarin?
